About VVSANDBETTER™

VVSANDBETTER™ is a custom grillz house in Houston, Texas. We cut every set from the customer’s own dental impression, cast it in solid metal, and hand-set every stone in house. No pre-made shells, no plated brass, no “one size fits most.”

The standard does not move. Every stone we set is VVS clarity or better — natural diamond, lab-grown diamond, or moissanite, in D–F colorless, hand-matched so the face of a set reads as one clean sheet of light instead of a patchwork. We do not run a cheaper tier underneath that, and we do not make exceptions for a bigger order.

Built in house, start to finish

3D wax printing

Our 3D wax printer gives us complete control over production. It builds intricate, highly detailed wax models straight from the CAD file, and our technicians watch each layer as it goes down. That control is what makes a set sit tight on a tooth instead of close enough.

CNC machining

We pair modern equipment with traditional bench work. CNC machining gives us precision and repeatability on the frame; hand-finishing gives it the character a machine cannot. Both matter, and using one without the other is where most shops fall down.

Casting and fitting

Every set starts from your impression. Our craftsmen pour and inspect the model, and if the mold is not clean enough to work from we call you and send another kit rather than guessing. From there the piece is cast in solid gold or solid .925 sterling silver, shaped, and fitted.

Stone setting

Setting is where a grill is won or lost. How a stone is seated decides how light enters and leaves it, and a stone set lazily walks out inside a month. Our setters place every stone by hand, secure and angled to pull maximum brilliance out of the set as a whole, not just stone by stone.

Polishing and QC

The last step gets the same attention as the first. Every surface is polished smooth and reflective, then quality-checked before it ships insured, in a case, with a fitted tray and care instructions.

The part most places skip

Most companies mail you a kit and wish you luck. We get on FaceTime or Instagram video and walk you through the impression while you are taking it — someone who has looked at thousands of these watching your tray seat, telling you when to pull, and checking the finished mold with you before you seal the envelope. It costs nothing, and it is the difference between guessing and knowing.

Local to Houston? Skip the kit entirely and we will take your impression in person at 300 Sharpstown Center. Visits are by appointment only — book an appointment or text 281-572-6159 to set a time.

Our philosophy

Founder Peter Aitchison built VVSANDBETTER™ on one idea: hold a standard and never move it. The grillz market is full of shops that quote a VVS price and set a lower stone, or sell a plated shell as a custom set. We decided the brand would mean one thing and keep meaning it, even when it costs us a sale.

That runs through the service too. Every set carries a guaranteed fit with free refits, free stone replacement, and free cleaning for as long as you own it. No time limit. If something is wrong, you talk to the person who made it — not a support queue.

Customers understand our pricing because they can see where it goes. Heavier metal than it needs to be, stones bought at the top of the scale, and a shop that answers the phone.
