Removable grillz

A removable set is custom jewelry cast from a mold of your own teeth. No adhesive, no hardware. It holds position because it is shaped to your teeth and nothing else. That is why the mold has to be right.

Ours are cast from an impression you take at home while a jeweler watches on a live video call. That call is why we can guarantee fit by mail. Competitors send a video link and hope. We stay on with you until the impression is correct, because a bad mold is the only real failure point in a mail-order set.

Metals are solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold, or solid .925 sterling silver, which can be plated rhodium white, yellow or rose. Stones are VVS clarity or better only, in natural diamond, lab-grown diamond or moissanite. No plated base metals.

Are permanent grillz safe?

We are not going to tell you permanent grillz are safe, and we are not going to tell you they are dangerous. Neither claim is supported, and you should be suspicious of any jeweler who makes one.

The American Dental Association's documented position is that there are no studies showing grills are harmful to the mouth, and no studies showing that long-term wear is safe. That is where the evidence sits.

The risks the ADA lists: food and debris trapped between the grill and the teeth, letting bacteria produce decay-causing acids; gum tissue damage; enamel wear on opposing teeth; tissue irritation; bad breath; and allergic reactions to non-precious metals, which is one concrete reason to know exactly what your piece is made of.

The ADA's recommendations are built around a piece you can take out: limit wearing time, remove it before eating, clean it daily, brush and floss carefully. That is the honest trade-off with a permanent set, because you cannot follow most of that advice. Removability is the wearer's best tool for keeping the tooth underneath healthy, and a permanent set takes that tool away. That does not make care impossible. It makes professional dental care more important, not less. If you go permanent, see your dentist regularly and tell them what you wear.

One ADA warning applies to everybody: never use glue to attach a grill. Household adhesives are not meant for internal use and they damage teeth and tissue. Nobody should ever try to attach a grill at home, to themselves or to anyone else. If you find a tutorial telling you to, close it.
